On Jan 19th 2011 we presented the IAV Annual New Technology and Product show. Thanks to our customers and vendor partners, we believe that it was another success. Our purpose is to bring new Audio Visual technologies, products, implementation ideas and real world solutions to our customers.
We want to extend a hearty “Thank You” to all of our business partners and manufacturers that participated by bringing equipment and providing their personal expertise. We also want to thank all of our customers for their attendance and interest in today’s audio visual technologies. This year we were very happy to report that dozens of first time visitors and clients also attended the show. Industrial Audio/Video Inc. welcomes your future participation.
Here are a few comments offered by some of the show attendees:
- "Everything was excellent! I plan on attending as many shows as you can put on. Thanks!""
- "Good show the seminars were interesting so I'm glad I attended both."
- "I did enjoy talking to your vendors, and I did learn from the overall show, that was the important thing. Thanks for the chance to come and learn".
This annual event featured new products, presentations and audiovisual integration solutions for Corporate, Municipalities, K-12 and Higher Education, House of Worship and Medical Education. Our primary focus this event was streaming technologies and improving communication processes.
Some of the contributing partners displayed the following:
Video and Audio conferencing technologies were well represented. Both Cisco Tandberg and Polycom displayed operating video tele-presence solutions. Control and Automation giants AMX, Crestron and Extron all displayed new and exciting products. Video projectors from Christie, Sharp and Canon were lined up for viewing comparisons. These companies also displayed other products including some 3D technology. New Pro cameras by JVC, Panasonic and Canon were demonstrated in a very colorful and challenging working display. JVC introduced the new GY-HM790 & 750 cameras while Panasonic displayed a new 3D camera and some PTZ cameras. Several Video Production products were demonstrated by Compix, Panasonic, Grass Valley, JVC and Broadcast Pix. Digital Signage solutions were offered by Keywest Technologies, Starin, Tightrope Media Systems and Frame Jazz. Many specialty A/V solution products were shared by Kramer Electronics and Extron.
Audio products and vendors were also well represented offering solutions in mixers, microphones, amplifiers, speakers, cabling and accessories. Soundcraft, Allen & Heath and Roland offered mixers while AKG, Shure, Revolabs, Clock Audio and Audio Technica displayed microphone solutions. We were introduced to several amplifier systems from Crown and QSC.
In addition to the product displays two seminars were presented. Over 100 customers and prospective clients attended the morning and afternoon seminars. The first seminar was delivered by Stephen Villoria. Stephen is a renowned innovator and prominent leader in the field of media systems integration. He is the CEO of Media Pointe. His presentation was titled Streaming Technology Today and Future Tools
In the afternoon we offered our second seminar, Distributing HD Content over a LAN. This dovetailed nicely with our first seminar. Mark Templeton, our presenter, is a Sales Engineer for Southern Vision Systems Inc. SVSi provides digital video solutions worldwide including high-speed digital imaging systems, digital video recording software, and Video-Over-IP. Mark offered a casual presentation with great participant interaction around practical HD video distribution applications. This seminar was a bit shorter than the previous seminar and built on shared technologies as well as distribution points that Stephen shared earlier. The overview covered ways to utilize your IT network in order to distribute HD video and audio content. Mark also introduced available products, networking fundamentals and suggested some best practices.
This show was as special event since we are also celebrating our 40th anniversary. IAV was established in 1971 and still resides at our offices on Bissonnet Street in Houston. Originally our primary services addressed the Broadcast Industry. This business grew and we expanded our video solutions and included products addressing a growing need for commercial audio. Today, we provide AV system design, integration and systems maintenance contracts. Our customers needs have allowed us to adapt, develop, and introduce new A/V technologies for all of our Texas clients. Supporting clients with other services is our mission. Video Tape, CD duplication has evolved into DVD and CD replication and the Rental Department offers state of the art and HD production and presentation cameras, switchers, projectors and displays for your presentation. Our installation and maintenance projects range from $5,000 to $2,000,000. We are very proud of our company and its achievements. We will continue to grow, expand our solutions and always strive to meet our customers’ expectations.
We will be celebrating this accomplishment the entire year with several more events. During these workshops, you are invited to visit our office and attend informative application and product seminars. One summit will highlight current and new product solutions for House of Worship Systems Integration. The other summit will bring fresh concepts and technologies for Corporate and Education AV Systems Integration.
We have received a great amount of shared information this year through client surveys and believe that we can address several of your topic suggestions. The summits mentioned above are based on your suggestions. All upcoming events will be posted on our website so check in often. Thank you!
